Perched on Pratumnak Hill between Pattaya and Jomtien, the Pattaya City Sign is the city’s most recognisable photo spot — a giant hillside marker that nods to the Hollywood sign and frames the bay behind it. It’s a free public landmark, so you can simply turn up, take in the view and snap a few pictures.
The upper ‘City’ platform gives you a two-tier vantage point over the coastline, while the quiet, closed-off hill road leading up is popular with locals for morning fitness walks. After sunset, 18,000 LED lights switch on and turn the sign into one of Pattaya’s most photogenic night-time scenes.
With a sea-view cafe close by and Bali Hai Pier just down the hill, it slots neatly into a half-day around Pratumnak or an evening before heading to Walking Street.
