Mermaids Dive Center is one of Jomtien Beach's longest-running dive schools, operating since the early 1990s. Based on Thappraya Road, it has built its reputation over three decades of teaching divers of every level, from nervous first-timers to working dive professionals.

The center holds PADI 5-Star Career Development Center status — the highest rating in the PADI system, which includes full professional and instructor training.
